A Century of Style: Fashion Photography from the National Portrait Gallery

Diese Ausstellung bringt einige der berühmtesten Modefotografen und Models zusammen, um die Kunst der Modefotografie zu präsentieren. Anhand von Themen wie Designer, Modell, Schöpfer und Muse sowie Kunst und Mode untersucht die Ausstellung die Rolle der Modefotografie bei der Definition von Stil, Bildsprache und zeitgenössischer Kultur. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Ausstellung ist einer der berühmtesten Modefotografen, Cecil Beaton.
Die Ausstellung wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der National Gallery und der National Portrait Gallery im Rahmen ihres Projekts Inspiring People realisiert, das ein umfangreiches Programm mit landesweiten Aktivitäten umfasst und vom National Heritage Lottery Fund und dem Art Fund finanziert wird.
Cette exposition réunit quelques-uns des plus célèbres photographes de mode et modèles (sitters) pour présenter l'art de la photographie de mode. À travers des thèmes tels que Designers, Model, Maker and Muse, et Art and Fashion, l'exposition examine le rôle que la photographie de mode a joué dans la définition du style, de l'imagerie et de la culture contemporaine. L'exposition s'intéresse également à l'un des plus célèbres photographes de mode, Cecil Beaton.
Cette exposition a été réalisée en partenariat avec la National Gallery et la National Portrait Gallery dans le cadre de leur projet de transformation Inspiring People, qui comprend un vaste programme d'activités à l'échelle nationale, financé par le National Heritage Lottery Fund et l'Art Fund.
Questa mostra riunisce alcuni dei più famosi fotografi di moda e modelli (sitter) per presentare l'arte della fotografia di moda. Attraverso temi quali Designer, Modella, Creatrice e Musa, Arte e Moda, la mostra esamina il ruolo che la fotografia di moda ha avuto nel definire lo stile, l'immaginario e la cultura contemporanea. La mostra si concentra anche su uno dei più celebri fotografi di moda, Cecil Beaton.

This exhibition brings together some of the most famous fashion photographers and models (sitters) to showcase the art of fashion photography. Through themes including Designers, Model, Maker and Muse, and Art and Fashion the exhibition examines the role fashion photography has played in defining style, imagery and contemporary culture. The exhibition also focuses on one of the most celebrated photographers of fashion, Cecil Beaton.
This exhibition has been produced in partnership with the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery as part of their transformational Inspiring People project that includes an extensive programme of nationwide activities, funded by The National Heritage Lottery Fund and Art Fund.
