Die photoSCHWEIZ ist die mit Abstand grösste und wichtigste Werkschau für Fotografie der Schweiz.
2005 gegründet, inkludiert die fünftägige Werkschau Sonderausstellungen zu gesellschaftspolitischen Themen wie heuer MSF, BLACK ART MATTERS oder photoNFT, ein vielseitiges Kursprogramm mit renommierten Kursleiterinnen und -leitern in der photoSCHOOL, professionelle Feedbacks für Fotografinnen und Fotografen in der photoREVIEW, einen Messebereich mit den neusten Foto-Produkten – Hardware wie Software – in der photoINDUSTRY und das photoFORUM mit Vorträgen von und Gesprächen mit nationalen und internationalen Star-Fotografinnen und -Fotografen.
Produziert wird die photoSCHWEIZ von BLOFELD Entertainment. Ins Portfolio des renommierten Zürcher Kulturveranstalters gehören neben weiteren Fotografie-Werkschauen wie der photoMÜNCHEN, photoBERLIN und photoHAMBURG das Public-Science-Festival Salon Public und das Singer-Songwriter Festival Songbird Festival Davos.
Geschäftsführer der photoSCHWEIZ ist Paul Merki. Der Bremgarter arbeitet seit über 30 Jahren in der Fotoindustrie und war Gründer und Inhaber der Firma Light + Byte, die er 2017 verkaufte. Merki hat andere Fotografie-Veranstaltungen wie die IPFO.ch in Olten und den digitalEVENT.ch in Baden co-organisiert.
Künstlerischer Leiter und Host der photoSCHWEIZ ist photoSCHWEIZ-Gründer und -Mitinhaber Michel Pernet. Sein Kuratorenteam bilden 2022 Daniel Bolliger, Neomi Gamliel und Joshua Amissah.
photoSCHWEIZ est de loin la plus grande et la plus importante exposition d'œuvres photographiques de Suisse.
