Feine Regentropfen, die eine Wasseroberfläche sanft berühren. Eine Spur im gerade erst gefallenen Schnee. Gefrorene Eisflächen, in denen winterlich-entlaubte Bäume schimmern. Ein grün-bläulich glänzender See, durch den eine Frau schwerlos gleitet. – Die Künstlerin Kathrin von Eye nähert sich in ihrer neuen Ausstellung dem Element Wasser in seinen verschiedenen Zuständen. Wasser: Das ist die Grundlage allen Lebens auf der Erde, kulturell, religiös und ökologisch bedeutsam. Ein Spiegel, in dem sich reale und imaginierte Welt überlagern.
Diese Verbindung versucht Kathrin von Eye mit ihrer Kamera behutsam, fast zärtlich einzufangen. Sie bietet mit ihren Fotografien einen Erzählfaden an, den die Betrachtenden aufnehmen und fortspinnen können, mit eigenen Gedanken und Erinnerungen. Auch wenn es zum Wesen der Fotografie gehört, einen bestimmten Augenblick festzuhalten, zu konservieren, so sind von Eyes Arbeiten so offen und wandelbar wie das Wasser, von dem sie erzählen. Sie sind in Bewegung, liefern kein Abbild der Wirklichkeit, sondern eine Anverwandlung derselben. Die Künstlerin verwendet hierfür konsequent analoge Technik, mit der sie neue, poetische Zusammenhänge schafft, ungewohnte Licht- und Farbverhältnisse einfängt und mit Sehgewohnheiten bricht. So erforscht sie das Uneindeutige, Oszillierende, sich im Fluss Befindliche.
De fines gouttes de pluie qui touchent délicatement une surface d'eau. Une trace dans la neige qui vient de tomber. Des surfaces de glace gelées dans lesquelles scintillent des arbres aux feuilles hivernales. Un lac aux reflets verts et bleutés dans lequel une femme glisse en toute légèreté. - Dans sa nouvelle exposition, l'artiste Kathrin von Eye aborde l'élément eau dans ses différents états. L'eau : c'est la base de toute vie sur terre, culturellement, religieusement et écologiquement importante. Un miroir dans lequel le monde réel et le monde imaginé se superposent.
C'est ce lien que Kathrin von Eye tente de capter avec son appareil photo, avec précaution, presque avec tendresse. Avec ses photographies, elle propose un fil narratif que les spectateurs peuvent suivre et tisser avec leurs propres pensées et souvenirs. Même si l'essence de la photographie est de fixer et de conserver un moment précis, les travaux de von Eyes sont aussi ouverts et changeants que l'eau dont ils parlent. Vous êtes en mouvement, vous ne donnez pas une image de la réalité, mais une transformation de celle-ci. Pour ce faire, l'artiste utilise systématiquement une technique analogique qui lui permet de créer de nouveaux contextes poétiques, de capturer des rapports de lumière et de couleur inhabituels et de rompre avec les habitudes visuelles. Elle explore ainsi l'ambiguïté, l'oscillation et le flux.
Gocce di pioggia sottili che toccano delicatamente una superficie d'acqua. Un sentiero nella neve appena caduta. Chiazze di ghiaccio in cui brillano gli alberi defogliati dall'inverno. Un lago verde-blu scintillante in cui una donna scivola senza peso. - Nella sua nuova mostra, l'artista Kathrin von Eye affronta l'elemento acqua nei suoi vari stati. Acqua: è la base di tutta la vita sulla terra, culturalmente, religiosamente ed ecologicamente importante. Uno specchio in cui il mondo reale e quello immaginario si sovrappongono.
Kathrin von Eye cerca di catturare questo legame con la sua macchina fotografica in modo delicato, quasi tenero. Con le sue fotografie, l'autrice offre un filo narrativo che lo spettatore può riprendere e continuare a far girare, con i propri pensieri e ricordi. Anche se fa parte dell'essenza della fotografia catturare un certo momento, conservarlo, le opere di von Eye sono aperte e mutevoli come l'acqua che raccontano. Sono in movimento, non forniscono un'immagine della realtà ma una sua trasformazione. L'artista utilizza costantemente la tecnologia analogica per creare contesti nuovi e poetici, per catturare condizioni di luce e colore insolite e per rompere le abitudini visive. In questo modo, esplora l'ambiguo, l'oscillante, l'in divenire.

A green-bluish shining lake, through which a woman glides weightlessly. - In her new exhibition, artist Kathrin von Eye approaches the element of water in its various states. Water: it is the basis of all life on earth, culturally, religiously and ecologically significant. A mirror in which the real and imagined world overlap.
Kathrin von Eye tries to capture this connection with her camera gently, almost tenderly. With her photographs, she offers a narrative thread that viewers can take up and continue to spin, with their own thoughts and memories. Even if it is part of the essence of photography to capture a specific moment, to conserve it, von Eye's works are as open and changeable as the water they tell of. They are in motion, do not provide an image of reality, but a transformation of it. For this, the artist consistently uses analog technology, with which she creates new, poetic contexts, captures unusual light and color conditions, and breaks with visual habits. In this way she explores the ambiguous, the oscillating, the in flux.
