Im Mittelpunkt der Ausstellung steht die Erkundung dringender gesellschaftlicher Fragen, wobei die Künstler sich selbst und die Welt unter die Lupe nehmen. Die Themen reichen von der Migration bis zu den Gefahren von Internet-Algorithmen und von der Hinterfragung der Geschlechterrollen bis zu einer Reflexion über die Auswirkungen des Kolonialismus. Auf der Suche nach einer Erweiterung des Mediums Fotografie präsentieren uns die diesjährigen Talente innovative Ansätze, von Stickereien auf Fotos über den Einsatz von Photogrammetrie bis hin zum Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz. Die Auswahl würdigt Fotografen, die es wagen, die Grenzen des kreativen Ausdrucks zu erweitern.
Zusätzlich zur physischen Ausstellung wird Foam Talent 2024-2025 von einer digitalen Ausstellung begleitet, die auf der Online-Plattform Foam Explore kuratiert wurde, sowie vom Foam Magazine #65 TALENT, das sich ganz dieser neuen Generation von Talenten widmet. Im Jahr 2025 wird die Ausstellung auf eine internationale Reise gehen. Im Rahmen des Talent-Programms werden die ausgewählten Künstler zu verschiedenen Networking-Aktivitäten und Mentoring eingeladen und haben die Möglichkeit, mit ihren Arbeiten in die renommierte Sammlung der Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation aufgenommen zu werden.
Au cœur de l'exposition se trouve l'exploration de questions sociétales urgentes, où les artistes se livrent à un examen introspectif d'eux-mêmes et du monde. Les thèmes abordés vont de la migration au danger des algorithmes sur l'internet, de la remise en question des rôles de genre à une réflexion sur l'impact du colonialisme. Cherchant à élargir le champ de la photographie, les talents de cette année nous présentent des approches innovantes, des broderies sur les photos à l'utilisation de la photogrammétrie en passant par l'utilisation de l'intelligence artificielle. La sélection célèbre les photographes qui osent repousser les limites de l'expression créative.
En plus de l'exposition physique, Foam Talent 2024-2025 s'accompagne d'une exposition numérique réalisée sur la plateforme en ligne Foam Explore, ainsi que du magazine Foam #65 TALENT qui sera entièrement consacré à cette nouvelle génération de talents. En 2025, l'exposition voyagera à l'échelle internationale. Dans le cadre du programme Talent, les artistes sélectionnés sont invités à participer à diverses activités de mise en réseau, de mentorat, avec l'opportunité de voir leur travail ajouté à la prestigieuse collection de la Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation.
Il cuore della mostra è l'esplorazione di questioni sociali urgenti, in cui gli artisti esaminano introspettivamente se stessi e il mondo. I temi di interesse spaziano dalla migrazione al pericolo degli algoritmi di Internet, dalla messa in discussione dei ruoli di genere alla riflessione sull'impatto del colonialismo. Cercando di ampliare il mezzo fotografico, i talenti di quest'anno ci presentano approcci innovativi, dai ricami sulle foto all'uso della fotogrammetria e dell'intelligenza artificiale. La selezione celebra i fotografi che osano spingersi oltre i confini dell'espressione creativa.
Oltre alla mostra fisica, Foam Talent 2024-2025 è accompagnata da una mostra digitale curata sulla piattaforma online Foam Explore, nonché dalla rivista Foam Magazine #65 TALENT che sarà interamente dedicata a questa nuova generazione di talenti. Nel 2025, la mostra viaggerà a livello internazionale. Nell'ambito del programma Talent, gli artisti selezionati sono invitati a partecipare a varie attività di networking e di mentoring, con l'opportunità di aggiungere le loro opere alla prestigiosa collezione della Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation.
At the heart of the exhibition lies the exploration of urgent societal issues, where artists introspectively examine both themselves and the world. The topics of interest range from migration to the danger of internet algorithms, and from questioning gender roles to a reflection on the impact of colonialism. Looking to broaden the medium of photography, this year’s talents present us with innovative approaches, from embroideries on photos and the use of photogrammetry to the use of Artificial Intelligence. The selection celebrates photographers who dare to push the boundaries of creative expression.
In addition to the physical exhibition, Foam Talent 2024-2025 is accompanied by a digital exhibition that has been curated on the online platform Foam Explore, as well as Foam Magazine #65 TALENT which will be entirely devoted to this new generation of talents. In 2025, the exhibition will travel internationally. As part of the Talent program, the selected artists are invited to participate in various networking activities, mentoring, with the opportunity to have their work added to the prestigious collection of the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation.
