Die Gruppenausstellung mit Albarrán Cabrera (ES), Jeffrey Conley (US), Paul Cupido (NL), Mika Horie (JP), Douglas Mandry (CH) und Naohiro Ninomiya (JP) widmet sich dem breiten Spektrum der Drucktechniken in der Fine Art Fotografie. Die besondere Sorgfalt bei der Auswahl des Papiers und der Entwicklungstechniken wird bei jedem der ausgestellten Künstler deutlich. Das Spektrum reicht von frühen Techniken aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, wie den Cyanotypien des japanischen Künstlers Mika Horie oder den analogen Salzdrucken von Douglas Mandry, bis hin zu innovativen neuen Drucktechniken, die historische Techniken mit einem spielerischen und experimentellen neuen Ansatz verbinden - darunter Pigmentdrucke auf Gampi-Papier und Blattgold des spanischen Künstlerduos Albarrán Cabrera. Jeffrey Conley beispielsweise ist ein Meister der Drucktechniken: Silbergelatine-, Platin- oder Pigmentdrucke auf Bambuspapier - alle Drucke werden vom Künstler mit größter Sorgfalt und fundiertem Wissen von Hand hergestellt. Albarrán Cabrera fertigt seine Abzüge persönlich in seinem Atelier an und verwendet dabei eine breite Palette von Verfahren und Materialien, indem er entweder neue Techniken erfindet oder mit bewährten Techniken experimentiert und so seine "fotografische Syntax" erweitert. Die Ausstellung gibt einen Einblick in die Bedeutung des sorgfältigen Umgangs mit traditionellen und neueren Techniken sowie in die Materialität und die sinnliche Erfahrung von Abzügen.
L'exposition collective avec Albarrán Cabrera (ES), Jeffrey Conley (US), Paul Cupido (NL), Mika Horie (JP), Douglas Mandry (CH) et Naohiro Ninomiya (JP) est consacrée au large éventail de techniques d'impression dans la photographie d'art. Le soin particulier apporté au choix du papier et aux techniques de développement est évident pour chacun des artistes exposés. L'éventail comprend des techniques anciennes du 19e siècle, comme les cyanotypes de l'artiste japonais Mika Horie ou les tirages analogiques au sel de Douglas Mandry, ainsi que de nouvelles techniques de tirage innovantes qui combinent des techniques historiques avec une nouvelle approche ludique et expérimentale - notamment les tirages pigmentaires sur papier gampi et feuille d'or du duo d'artistes espagnols Albarrán Cabrera. Jeffrey Conley, par exemple, est un maître des techniques d'impression : gélatine d'argent, platine ou tirages pigmentaires sur papier bambou - tous les tirages sont réalisés à la main avec le plus grand soin et les connaissances approfondies de l'artiste. Les Albarrán Cabrera réalisent personnellement leurs tirages dans leur studio en utilisant un large éventail de procédés et de matériaux, soit en inventant de nouvelles techniques, soit en expérimentant des techniques existantes, élargissant ainsi leur "syntaxe photographique". L'exposition donne un aperçu de l'importance de la manipulation minutieuse des techniques traditionnelles et récentes, ainsi que de la matérialité et de l'expérience sensuelle des tirages.

La particolare cura nella scelta della carta e delle tecniche di sviluppo è evidente per tutti gli artisti esposti. Lo spettro comprende le prime tecniche del XIX secolo, come le cianotipie dell'artista giapponese Mika Horie o le stampe analogiche al sale di Douglas Mandry, ma anche nuove tecniche di stampa innovative che combinano tecniche storiche con un nuovo approccio giocoso e sperimentale, come le stampe a pigmenti su carta gampi e foglia d'oro del duo di artisti spagnoli Albarrán Cabrera. Jeffrey Conley, ad esempio, è un maestro delle tecniche di stampa: stampe alla gelatina d'argento, al platino o ai pigmenti su carta di bambù - tutte le stampe sono realizzate a mano con la massima cura e conoscenza approfondita da parte dell'artista. The group exhibition with Albarrán Cabrera (ES), Jeffrey Conley (US), Paul Cupido (NL), Mika Horie (JP), Douglas Mandry (CH) and Naohiro Ninomiya (JP) is dedicated to the broad range of print techniques in fine art photography. The special care of choosing the paper and developing techniques is evident for every of the exhibited artists. The spectrum includes early techniques from the 19th century, like cyanotypes by the Japanese artist Mika Horie or the analogue salt prints by Douglas Mandry as well as innovative new print techniques that combine historical techniques with a playful and experimental new approach – including pigment prints on gampi paper and gold leaf by the Spanish artist duo Albarrán Cabrera. Jeffrey Conley for instance is a master of print techniques: silver gelatin, platinum, or pigment prints on bamboo paper – all prints are made by hand with the greatest care and in-depth knowledge by the artist. Albarrán Cabrera personally handcraft their prints in their studio using a wide range of processes and materials either by inventing new techniques or by experimenting with established ones expanding their “photographic syntax”. The exhibition gives an insight in the importance of the careful handling with traditional to recent techniques and of the materiality and sensual experience of prints.
De groepstentoonstelling met Albarrán Cabrera (ES), Jeffrey Conley (VS), Paul Cupido (NL), Mika Horie (JP), Douglas Mandry (CH) en Naohiro Ninomiya (JP) is gewijd aan het brede scala aan printtechnieken in beeldende kunstfotografie. De bijzondere zorg voor het kiezen van het papier en het ontwikkelen van technieken is voor elk van de tentoongestelde kunstenaars evident. Het spectrum omvat vroege technieken uit de 19e eeuw, zoals cyanotypes van de Japanse kunstenares Mika Horie of de analoge zoutprints van Douglas Mandry, maar ook innovatieve nieuwe printtechnieken die historische technieken combineren met een speelse en experimentele nieuwe benadering – inclusief pigmentprints op Gampi papier en bladgoud van het Spaanse kunstenaarsduo Albarrán Cabrera. Jeffrey Conley is bijvoorbeeld een meester in printtechnieken: zilvergelatine-, platina- of pigmentprints op bamboepapier – alle prints worden met de grootste zorg en diepgaande kennis van de kunstenaar met de hand gemaakt. Albarrán Cabrera maken hun prints persoonlijk in hun studio met behulp van een breed scala aan processen en materialen, hetzij door nieuwe technieken uit te vinden, of door te experimenteren met gevestigde technieken om hun „fotografische syntaxis“ uit te breiden. De tentoonstelling geeft inzicht in het belang van het zorgvuldig omgaan met traditionele tot recente technieken en in de materialiteit en zintuiglijke beleving van prenten.
