Ob dreckige Bergwerke, mächtige Staudämme, eingepferchte Äcker oder asphaltierte Straßen die Wälder zerteilen: Der Raubbau am Planeten ist ein zentrales Thema unserer Zeit. Dabei wirkt der menschliche Eingriff in Umwelt und Natur alles andere als ästhetisch.
Tom Hegen kehrt diese Motive ins Gegenteil. Er inszeniert den Blick auf unsere Erde und verleiht den vom Menschen geprägten Landschaften eine Ruhe und Schönheit, die fasziniert, aber auch nachdenklich macht und zeigt, dass kaum ein Flecken Erde noch unberührt ist. Hegens Aufnahmen sind abstrakt und ästhetisch und laden ein, unsere Erde aus einer neuen Perspektive zu entdecken. Die vertikale Aufsicht ist visueller Nachhilfeunterricht, eine ungewohnte Schule des Sehens, ein Portrait unserer Zivilisation, und eine Mahnung an die Einzigartigkeit unseres Planeten.
Siedlungen, Felder und Flüsse: Aus der Vogelperspektive erkennt das Auge im Chaos wohltuende Ordnungen. In diesem Sinne hilft das Luftbild-Makroskop zu verstehen, dass wir Teil eines faszinierenden, schützenswerten Planeten sind.
Tom Hegen schafft durch Entfernung zum Motiv eine Annäherung an dessen Inhalt und bringt damit dem Betrachter die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Natur näher. Aus Veränderung am Boden wird so Abstraktion von oben, die der Fotograf aus einem ungewohnten Blickwinkel betrachten lässt. Die Ausstellung umfasst Werke von Tom Hegen aus den Jahren 2019 bis 2021.
Qu'il s'agisse de mines polluantes, de barrages gigantesques, de champs exigus ou de routes asphaltées coupant les forêts : La surexploitation de la planète est un thème central de notre époque. Pourtant, l'intervention humaine dans l'environnement et la nature semble tout sauf esthétique.
Tom Hegen transforme ces motifs en leur contraire. Il met en scène la vision de notre terre et imprègne les paysages façonnés par l'homme d'une tranquillité et d'une beauté qui fascinent, mais qui font aussi réfléchir et montrent que pratiquement aucun endroit sur terre n'est encore vierge. Les photographies de Hegen sont abstraites et esthétiques et nous invitent à découvrir notre terre sous un angle nouveau. Vertical Oversight est un tutorat visuel, une école de la vision inhabituelle, un portrait de notre civilisation et un rappel de l'unicité de notre planète.
Colonies, champs et rivières : Depuis une vue d'oiseau, l'œil discerne des ordres apaisants dans le chaos. En ce sens, le macroscope aérien nous aide à comprendre que nous faisons partie d'une planète fascinante qui mérite d'être protégée.
Tom Hegen crée une approximation du contenu du motif par la distance, rapprochant ainsi le spectateur de la relation entre l'homme et la nature. Le changement au sol devient ainsi une abstraction vue d'en haut, que le photographe nous permet de voir sous un angle inhabituel. L'exposition comprend des œuvres de Tom Hegen de 2019 à 2021.
Che si tratti di miniere sporche, dighe imponenti, campi angusti o strade asfaltate che tagliano le foreste: L'eccessivo sfruttamento del pianeta è un tema centrale del nostro tempo. Eppure l'intervento umano nell'ambiente e nella natura sembra tutt'altro che estetico.
Tom Hegen trasforma questi motivi nel loro opposto. Mette in scena la vista della nostra terra e impregna i paesaggi modellati dall'uomo di una tranquillità e di una bellezza che affascina, ma fa anche riflettere e mostra che quasi nessun punto della terra è ancora intatto. Le fotografie di Hegen sono astratte ed estetiche e ci invitano a scoprire la nostra terra da una nuova prospettiva. Vertical Oversight è un tutoraggio visivo, un'insolita scuola di visione, un ritratto della nostra civiltà e un promemoria dell'unicità del nostro pianeta.
Insediamenti, campi e fiumi: Da una visione a volo d'uccello, l'occhio discerne ordini tranquillizzanti nel caos. In questo senso, il macroscopio aereo ci aiuta a capire che siamo parte di un pianeta affascinante che vale la pena proteggere.
Tom Hegen crea un'approssimazione del contenuto del motivo attraverso la distanza, avvicinando così lo spettatore alla relazione tra uomo e natura. Il cambiamento a terra diventa così un'astrazione dall'alto, che il fotografo ci permette di vedere da un'angolazione insolita. La mostra comprende opere di Tom Hegen dal 2019 al 2021.
Whether it's dirty mines, mighty dams, cramped fields or paved roads carving up the forests: The overexploitation of the planet is a central theme of our time. At the same time, human intervention in the environment and nature seems anything but aesthetic.
Tom Hegen turns these motifs into the opposite. He stages the view of our earth and imbues the landscapes shaped by man with a tranquility and beauty that fascinates, but also makes us think, and shows that hardly any spot on earth is still untouched. Hegen's photographs are abstract and aesthetic, inviting us to discover our earth from a new perspective. Vertical Oversight is visual tutoring, an unusual school of vision, a portrait of our civilization, and a reminder of the uniqueness of our planet.
Settlements, fields and rivers: From a bird's eye view, the eye discerns soothing order in the chaos. In this sense, the aerial macroscope helps us understand that we are part of a fascinating planet worth protecting.
Tom Hegen creates an approximation of the subject's content through distance, bringing the viewer closer to the relationship between man and nature. Change on the ground thus becomes abstraction from above, which the photographer allows to be viewed from an unusual angle. The exhibition includes works by Tom Hegen from 2019 to 2021.
