Mit Künstlern aus der ganzen Welt, die das künstlerische Medium der Fotografie auf vielfältige Weise nutzen und sich mit den aktuellen Fragen zur Fotografie unseres Ehrengastes Joan Fontcuberta auseinandersetzen, verspricht die Ausgabe 2023 der Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale (Treffen junger internationaler Fotografen) eine äußerst vielseitige Veranstaltung zu werden, und das ist auch gut so!
Neunzehn Künstler aus zehn verschiedenen Ländern Europas, Asiens, Afrikas und Amerikas werden einander und Ihnen begegnen, sowohl formell als auch informell bei Ausstellungsbesuchen, organisierten Austauschtreffen oder bei einem Glas... Alles wird getan, um den Dialog und die Konfrontation in einem geselligen Rahmen zu provozieren, der einen fruchtbaren Austausch ermöglicht.
Aus der Vielfalt und Komplexität entsteht der Reichtum eines Gedankens, und in diesem Sinne werden die acht Künstler, die sich in Niort aufhalten, am 14. und 15. April die Früchte ihrer künstlerischen Überlegungen präsentieren und Ihnen zeigen.
Unsere unerschütterliche Unterstützung für die aufstrebende Fotografie bleibt eine Priorität. Rund um die Residenz werden wir die Werke von zwei Künstlern präsentieren, die bereits zuvor bei uns zu Gast waren: David Fathi im Jahr 2015 und Soham Gupta im Jahr 2016. Die Gelegenheit, ihre künstlerischen Werdegänge und Entwicklungen zu würdigen, aber auch Entdeckungen zu machen, wie die italienische Fotografin Rachele Maistrello und die griechischen Fotografen, die von Manolis Moresopoulos, dem Direktor des Athens Photo Festival, programmiert wurden. Sylvie Bussières wird ihre Arbeit über Botanik vorstellen, in der sie fotografische Bilder mit Graphitminen verbindet.
Unsere Wünsche nach Begegnungen, Dialogen und Fragestellungen werden sich in formellen Zeiten wie Brigitte Patient's Photographic Scene mit einem inszenierten Live-Interview mit Joan Fontcuberta sowie einem großen Runden Tisch zu Fragen der Stellung des Bürgers und des Ehrenamts in Kunst- und Fotozentren materialisieren.
Schließlich haben wir in Zusammenarbeit mit Darkroom Rumour (dem weltweit führenden Anbieter von Filmen über Fotografie), der Mediathek Pierre-Moinot und der Scène nationale le Moulin du Roc eine Reihe von Filmen über Fotografie zusammengestellt.
Zweifellos wird in dieser Ausgabe das Medium Fotografie hinterfragt werden, wobei die hochaktuellen Fragen, die durch die künstliche Intelligenz aufgeworfen werden, im Vordergrund stehen.
Avec la présence d’artistes venu.es des quatre coins du monde porteurs de leurs diversités d’utilisations du médium artistique qu’est la photographie, tous réunis autour des interrogations les plus actuelles sur la photographie posées par notre invité d’honneur Joan Fontcuberta, l’édition 2023 des Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale s’annonce des plus éclectiques et c’est tant mieux !
Dix-neuf artistes en provenance de dix pays différents d’Europe, d’Asie, d’Afrique et d’Amérique se rencontreront et vous rencontreront de manière formelle mais aussi informelle lors des visites des expositions, de temps d’échanges organisés ou bien autour d’un verre… Tout sera mis en oeuvre afin de provoquer le dialogue et les confrontations dans un cadre convivial permettant de féconds échanges.
De la diversité et de la complexité vient la richesse d’une pensée et c’est dans cet esprit que les huit artistes en résidence de création à Niort vont réaliser et vous donneront à voir les fruits de leur réflexion artistique les 14 et 15 avril.
Notre soutien indéfectible à la photographie émergente reste une priorité. Autour de la résidence, nous présenterons les créations de deux artistes accueillis précédemment, David Fathi en 2015 et Soham Gupta en 2016. L’occasion d’apprécier leurs parcours artistiques et leurs évolutions mais aussi des découvertes, comme Rachele Maistrello, photographe italienne, et les photographes grec·ques programmé·es par Manolis Moresopoulos directeur d’Athens photo festival. Sylvie Bussières présentera son travail sur la botanique qui conjugue images photographiques et mines de graphites.
Nos souhaits de rencontres, de dialogues et de questionnements se matérialiseront par des temps formels comme La Scène photographique de Brigitte Patient avec une interview scénographiée de Joan Fontcuberta en direct, ainsi qu’une grande table ronde sur les questions de la place du citoyen et du bénévolat dans les centres d’art et de photographie.
Enfin avec les partenariats de Darkroom Rumour (premier diffuseur mondial de films sur la photographie), la médiathèque Pierre-Moinot et la Scène nationale le Moulin du Roc nous vous avons concocté un cycle de films sur la photographie.
Nul doute que cette édition va voir le medium photographique questionné avec en filigrane les interrogations très actuelles posées par l’intelligence artificielle.
Con la presenza di artisti provenienti dai quattro angoli del mondo che porteranno i loro diversi usi del mezzo artistico della fotografia, tutti uniti intorno alle domande più attuali sulla fotografia poste dal nostro ospite d'onore Joan Fontcuberta, l'edizione 2023 dei Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale promette di essere una delle più eclettiche, e tanto meglio!
Diciannove artisti provenienti da dieci paesi diversi di Europa, Asia, Africa e America si incontreranno e vi incontreranno in modo formale ma anche informale durante le visite alle mostre, durante gli scambi organizzati o davanti a un drink... Tutto sarà fatto per provocare il dialogo e il confronto in un ambiente conviviale che permetta scambi fruttuosi.
Dalla diversità e dalla complessità nasce la ricchezza di un pensiero ed è con questo spirito che gli otto artisti in residenza a Niort produrranno e mostreranno i frutti della loro riflessione artistica il 14 e 15 aprile.

Sarà l'occasione per apprezzare la loro carriera artistica e la loro evoluzione, ma anche per scoprire nuovi artisti, come Rachele Maistrello, fotografa italiana, e i fotografi greci programmati da Manolis Moresopoulos, direttore dell'Athens Photo Festival. Sylvie Bussières presenterà il suo lavoro sulla botanica, che combina immagini fotografiche e matita di grafite.
Il nostro desiderio di incontri, dialoghi e domande si concretizzerà in momenti formali come il Palcoscenico fotografico di Brigitte Patient con un'intervista dal vivo a Joan Fontcuberta, oltre a una grande tavola rotonda sulle questioni del posto del cittadino e del volontariato nei centri d'arte e di fotografia.
Infine, in collaborazione con Darkroom Rumour (leader mondiale nella distribuzione di film sulla fotografia), con la biblioteca multimediale Pierre-Moinot e con il palcoscenico nazionale del Moulin du Roc, abbiamo realizzato una serie di film sulla fotografia.
Non c'è dubbio che in questa edizione il mezzo fotografico sarà messo in discussione con le domande molto attuali sollevate dall'intelligenza artificiale.
With the presence of artists from the four corners of the world bringing their diverse uses of the artistic medium of photography, all gathered around the most current questions on photography posed by our guest of honor Joan Fontcuberta, the 2023 edition of the Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale promises to be one of the most eclectic, and so much the better!
Nineteen artists from ten different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America will meet and meet you formally but also informally during visits to the exhibitions, during organized exchanges or over a drink... Everything will be done to provoke dialogue and confrontation in a convivial setting allowing fruitful exchanges.
From diversity and complexity comes the richness of a thought and it is in this spirit that the eight artists in residence of creation in Niort will realize and will give you to see the fruits of their artistic reflexion on April 14th and 15th.
Our unwavering support for emerging photography remains a priority. Around the residency, we will present the creations of two artists previously hosted, David Fathi in 2015 and Soham Gupta in 2016. The opportunity to appreciate their artistic careers and their evolution but also discoveries, such as Rachele Maistrello, Italian photographer, and the Greek photographers programmed by Manolis Moresopoulos, director of Athens photo festival. Sylvie Bussières will present her work on botany which combines photographic images and graphite pencil.
Our desire for encounters, dialogues and questioning will be materialized by formal times such as Brigitte Patient's Photographic Scene with a scenographed interview of Joan Fontcuberta, as well as a large round table on the questions of the place of the citizen and of the voluntary work in the art and photography centers.
Finally, in partnership with Darkroom Rumour (the world's leading distributor of films on photography), the Pierre-Moinot media library and the Scène nationale le Moulin du Roc, we have put together a series of films on photography.
There is no doubt that this edition will see the photographic medium questioned with the very current questions raised by artificial intelligence.
