CRASH - ein Zusammenprall, ein Unfall, ein Sturz, eine Kollision, ein permanenter Bruch. CRASH ist ein Nervenkitzel, eine Emotion, Angst, Schmerz, Tod und Panik. Ich muss von vorne anfangen. CRASH ist Wiedergeburt, Hoffnung, Befreiung, Revolution, Begehren und der Ansporn, weiter zu wachsen. CRASH ist Trauma, Depression, Niederlage, ein schwarzes Loch, das nach unten, in die Dunkelheit rutscht. CRASH ist Zerstörung und Konstruktion, Stillstand und Dynamik, Kontrast, Reibung, zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, zwischen Konkretheit und Abstraktion, Geist und Materie.
CRASH ist Arnold Odermatt in seiner makellosen Polizeiuniform. CRASH ist Boris Mikhailov, der über die Tore des großen verlassenen Krematoriums in Kiew klettert. CRASH sind die jungen Utopisten der ECAL, die am Monte Verità die Wahrheit über die Utopie entdecken. CRASH sind alle anderen, zusammen mit ihren Bildern, ob still oder in Bewegung, einzeln oder mehrfach, in Schwarz-Weiß oder in Farbe. Mit ihren punktgenauen Projekten, ihrer Argumentation vielleicht noch ein wenig verwirrt, was aber bald klar werden wird. CRASH ist ein Ideenfluss, der nicht austrocknet, der schleudert, bremst, aber dann noch schneller als bisher wieder losgeht. Es ist eine zerbrechliche und doch flexible Konstruktion, in der jeder seinen eigenen Platz und seine eigene Sichtweise finden kann. CRASH ist Fotografien, Filme, Wörter, Polaroids und Fotoromane. Zeit, Orte, Termine, Zeiten und Programme. Zwei Jahre zusammengedrückt in zwei Monate. Vor allem sind CRASH Menschen, die sich ausdrücken, kommunizieren, aussprechen, schreien und ausflippen wollen. Denn mit CRASH kann alles passieren, obwohl sich jeder immer wieder fragt, was für eine Welt es ohne CRASH gäbe.
CRASH è scontro, incidente, caduta, collisione, frattura senza ritorno. CRASH è brivido, emozione, paura, dolore, morte, panico. È dover ricominciare tutto da capo. CRASH è rinascita, speranza, liberazione, rivoluzione, desiderio, stimolo per proseguire la crescita. CRASH è trauma, depressione, sconfitta, buco nero, scivolamento verso il basso, verso il buio. CRASH è distruzione e costruzione, stasi e dinamica, contrasto, frizione, tra passato e presente, tra concretezza ed astrazione, tra spirito e materia.
CRASH è Arnold Odermatt, impeccabile nella sua divisa da poliziotto. CRASH è Boris Mikhailov che scavalca i cancelli del grande crematorio abbandonato di Kiev. CRASH sono i giovani utopisti dell’ECAL che scoprono la verità dell’utopia sul Monte Verità. CRASH sono tutti gli altri, con le loro immagini, fisse o in movimento, singole o multiple, in bianco e nero o a colori. Con i loro progetti azzeccati, i loro ragionamenti forse ancora un po’ confusi ma che si chiariranno. CRASH è un flusso di idee che non teme la siccità, che sbanda, frena e riparte più veloce di prima. È una costruzione fragile ma flessibile, all’interno della quale ciascuno può trovare il proprio posto e il proprio punto di vista. CRASH sono fotografie, film, parole, polaroid e photographic novel. Tempo, luoghi, appuntamenti, orari, programmi. Sono due mesi che valgono per due anni. CRASH sono soprattutto persone che vogliono esprimersi, comunicare, parlare, gridare, incazzarsi. Perché con CRASH può accadere di tutto, anche se tutti continuano a chiedersi come sarebbe il mondo senza CRASH.
CRASH – a clash, an accident, a fall, a collision, a permanent fracture. CRASH is a thrill, an emotion, fear, pain, death and panic. Having to start over from square one. CRASH is rebirth, hope, liberation, revolution, desire and the stimulus to continue to grow. CRASH is trauma, depression, defeat, a black hole, slipping downwards, into the darkness. CRASH is destruction and construction, stasis and dynamicity, contrast, friction, between past and present, between concreteness and abstraction, spirit and matter.
CRASH is Arnold Odermatt in his flawless police uniform. CRASH is Boris Mikhailov climbing over the gates of the great abandoned crematory in Kiev. CRASH is the young utopians of the ECAL who discover the truth about utopia on Monte Verità. CRASH is all the others, along with their images, be they still or moving, single or multiple, in black and white or in colour. With their spot-on projects, their reasoning perhaps still a little confused yet which will soon become clear. CRASH is a flow of ideas that runs no risk of drying up, one that skids, brakes but then sets off again even faster than before. It’s a fragile yet flexible construction, within which everyone may find their own place and their own point of view. CRASH is photographs, films, words, Polaroids and photographic novels. Time, places, appointments, times and programmes. Two years squeezed into two months. Most of all, CRASH is people who want to express themselves, communicate, speak out, shout out and freak out. Because with CRASH anything can happen, although everyone keeps wondering what kind of world it would be without CRASH.
