Anlässlich des 75jährigen Jubiläums von Magnum Photos feiert die weltberühmte Foto- und Fotografenagentur gemeinsam mit der BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (BPW) und Partnerinstitutionen in Berlin.
Im Rahmen der diesjährigen BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (2. bis 9. September 2022) werden zahlreiche Ausstellungen, Konferenzen, Workshops, Buch-Signierungen, Talks und vieles mehr veranstaltet. Eine Gruppe von Magnum Fotografen wird dafür speziell nach Berlin reisen.
Das Event- und Ausstellungs-Feuerwerk rund um den 75jährigen Geburtstag von Magnum Photos findet sowohl in der Hauptlocation der diesjährigen BPW, der Arena Berlin, als auch in zahlreichen Partnerinstitutionen statt wie beispielsweise der Helmut Newton Foundation, C/O Berlin, Reinbeckhallen, CHAUSSEE 36, Loock Galerie und Robert Morat Galerie.

Die weltweit renommierte Fotoagentur wurde von vier Fotografen gebildet – Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger und David "Chim" Seymour. Sie gründeten Magnum Photos 1947 im Penthouse Restaurant des MoMA in NY, mit dem Wunsch ihre Unabhängigkeit sowohl als Menschen als auch als Fotografen zu reflektieren. Magnum steht auch heute noch für die eigenwillige Mischung aus Reporter und Künstler – die nicht nur betont, was man sieht, sondern auch die Art und Weise wie man es sieht und wie man es vermittelt.
À l'occasion du 75e anniversaire de Magnum Photos, l'agence de photographes et de photographes de renommée mondiale célèbre l'événement en collaboration avec la BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (BPW) et des institutions partenaires à Berlin.
Dans le cadre de la BERLIN PHOTO WEEK de cette année (du 2 au 9 septembre 2022), de nombreuses expositions, conférences, ateliers, dédicaces de livres, débats et bien plus encore seront organisés. Un groupe de photographes de Magnum se rendra spécialement à Berlin pour l'occasion.
Le feu d'artifice d'événements et d'expositions autour du 75e anniversaire de Magnum Photos aura lieu dans le lieu principal de la BPW de cette année, l'Arena Berlin, ainsi que dans de nombreuses institutions partenaires telles que la Helmut Newton Foundation, C/O Berlin, Reinbeckhallen, CHAUSSEE 36, Loock Galerie et Robert Morat Galerie.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Magnum Photos, the world-famous photo and photography agency celebrates together with the BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (BPW) and partner institutions in Berlin.
This year's BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (September 2-9, 2022) will feature numerous exhibitions, conferences, workshops, book signings, talks and more. A group of Magnum photographers will travel to Berlin specifically for this event.
The event and exhibition fireworks surrounding the 75th anniversary of Magnum Photos will take place at the main location of this year's BPW, Arena Berlin, as well as at numerous partner institutions such as the Helmut Newton Foundation, C/O Berlin, Reinbeckhallen, CHAUSSEE 36, Loock Galerie and Robert Morat Galerie.

The world-renowned photo agency was formed by four photographers - Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David "Chim" Seymour. They founded Magnum Photos in 1947 in the Penthouse Restaurant at MoMA in NY, with a desire to reflect their independence both as people and as photographers. Today, Magnum still stands for that idiosyncratic blend of reporter and artist - emphasizing not only what you see, but how you see it and how you convey it.
