Furthermore, we will turn a 10,000 m2 wasteland at the artificial island Refshaleøen into an innovative exhibition park offering a 360 degree festival experience that will connect the best of photography and lens-based art with hang out spots, drinks and events.

Landskrona Foto Festival

Landskrona Foto ist der Sammelname für ein Zentrum für das fotografische Bild, das sich auf Bereiche wie Ausstellungen, Veranstaltungen, Fotogeschichte, Fotobücher, Residenz, Forschung und Sammlungen erstreckt. Das wichtigste Element, das wir als "Höhepunkt der Fotografie" bezeichnen, ist unser Festival, bei dem die Liebe zur Fotografie, die Hingabe und das Engagement für Landskrona als Treffpunkt der Fotografie ihren Höhepunkt erreichen.

Unsere Vision ist es, Europas wichtigster Treffpunkt für Fotografie zu sein - wo sich das Etablierte und das Experimentelle treffen und das Verständnis der Öffentlichkeit für Fotografie und ihren Wert für die Gesellschaft fördern.

Der Auftraggeber für die Aktivitäten ist das Kulturamt der Stadt Landskrona, das im Haushalt einen festen Zuschuss für die finanzielle Förderung bereitstellt. Darüber hinaus erhalten wir Beiträge von regionalen, nationalen und nordischen Kulturorganisationen. Wir werden auch von vielen Unternehmen großzügig unterstützt, die ein Interesse an der Aktivität und an Landskrona haben.

Die politisch angestrebte Zielsetzung ist, dass Landskrona Foto eine solche Qualität und Breite in der Aktivität haben soll, dass Landskrona sich als das Haus der Fotografie in Skandinavien bezeichnen kann.

Landskrona Foto est le nom collectif d'un centre pour l'image photographique qui couvre des domaines tels que les expositions, les événements, l'histoire de la photo, les livres de photos, la résidence, la recherche et les collections. L'élément le plus important, celui que nous appelons "le point culminant de la photographie", est notre festival où l'amour de la photographie, le dévouement et l'engagement envers Landskrona en tant que lieu de rencontre de la photographie atteignent leur crescendo.

Notre vision est d'être le lieu de rencontre le plus pertinent d'Europe pour la photographie - où l'établi et l'expérimental se rencontrent et stimulent la compréhension du public pour la photographie et sa valeur pour la société.

Le principal responsable de l'activité est le conseil culturel de Landskrona Stad, qui dispose d'une subvention permanente dans le budget pour le financement. En plus de cela, nous recevons des contributions d'organisations culturelles régionales, nationales et nordiques. Nous sommes également généreusement soutenus par de nombreuses entreprises qui ont un intérêt dans cette activité et dans Landskrona.

L'objectif politiquement ciblé est que Landskrona Foto ait une telle qualité et une telle ampleur dans l'activité que Landskrona puisse se déclarer comme étant la maison de la photographie en Scandinavie.

Landskrona Foto è il nome collettivo di un centro per l'immagine fotografica che abbraccia aree come mostre, eventi, storia della fotografia, libri fotografici, residenza, ricerca e collezioni. L'elemento più importante, quello che noi chiamiamo 'The highlight of Photography' è il nostro festival dove l'amore per la fotografia, la dedizione e l'impegno per Landskrona come luogo di incontro della fotografia raggiunge il suo crescendo.

Landskrona Foto is the collective name for a center for the photographic image that spans areas such as exhibitions, events, photo history, photo books, residency, research, and collections. The most important element, the one we call ‘The highlight of Photography’ is our festival where the love of photography, dedication, and commitment to Landskrona as the meeting place of photography reaches its crescendo.

Our vision is to be Europe’s most relevant meeting place for photography – where the established and the experimental meet and stimulate the public’s understanding of photography and its value to society.

The principal for the activity is the cultural board of Landskrona Stad, which has a permanent grant in the budget for the financial funding. In addition to that, we are receiving contributions from regional, national and Nordic cultural organizations. We are also generously supported by many companies who have an interest in the activity and in Landskrona.

Copenhagen Photo Festival returns this summer on June 2-12, and we're excited for ten days brimming with creativity, experimentation and top quality exhibitions spread across greater Copenhagen and southern Sweden.
