Die Galerie Dar El Bacha und die Khalid Art Gallery präsentieren die Ausstellung 'Tausend und eine Traum-Retrospektive' des Künstlerpaares Yasmina Alaoui und Marco Guerra. In dieser Serie erscheinen Körper, die akribisch mit arabischen Henna-Motiven bedeckt sind, wie eingefroren in der Zeit. Gefesselt vom Realismus und der skulpturalen Qualität des Körpers kann sich der Betrachter der Illusion nicht entziehen. Die Kreation jedes Stückes beginnt mit einer Aktfotografie von Guerra. Die Schichten von Alaouis komplexen Tuschezeichnungen verschmelzen dann mit dem Porträt, um ihm eine markante Wirkung zu verleihen. Ursprünglich aus Chile bzw. Marokko stammend, arbeiten Marco Guerra und Yasmina Aloui seit 2005 zusammen. Ihre Arbeiten sind Gegenstand von Ausstellungen in Sammlungen auf der ganzen Welt.
La Galerie Dar El Bacha et Khalid Art Gallery présente l’exposition ‘One Thousand and One Dreams Retrospective‘ (Mille et un rêves) par le couple d’artistes Yasmina Alaoui et Marco Guerra. Dans cette série, des corps minutieusement recouverts de motifs au henné arabe apparaissent figés dans le temps. Captivé par le réalisme et la qualité sculpturale du corps, le spectateur n’échappe pas l’illusion qui en découle. La création de chaque pièce débute par une photographie de nu par Guerra. Les couches des dessins complexes à l'encre d'Alaoui fusionnent ensuite avec le portrait pour lui conférer un effet saisissant. Originaires respectivement du Chili et du Maroc, Marco Guerra et Yasmina Aloui collaborent depuis 2005. Leurs travaux font l’objet d’expositions de collections à l’échelle international.
Galerie Dar El Bacha and Khalid Art Gallery present the exhibition ‘One Thousand and One Dreams Retrospective‘ artists Yasmina Alaoui and photographer Marco Guerra. Alaoui and Guerra love to tantalize their audience. In their life-sized photographic series “one thousand and one dreams”, statuesque bodies appear frozen in time, covered from head to toe in meticulously detailed, contemporary Arabic Henna patters. Captivated by the realism and sculptural quality of each human form, the viewer becomes lost in an illusion. Each artwork begins with a black and white nude photograph by Guerra. Layers of Alaoui’s complex ink drawings are then fused with the portrait, with breathtaking results. Originally from Chile and Morocco respectively, the couple has been collaborating since 2005, and have successfully been exhibited and collected internationally.
