Polycopies wurde 2014 gegründet und ist ein Verein zur Verbreitung und Förderung unabhängiger Fotobücher.

Jedes Jahr veranstaltet Polycopies sein Festival anlässlich der Paris-Photo und verwandelt das am Seine-Ufer vertäute Schiff Concorde-Atlantique in eine große, temporäre Buchhandlung, die sich ganz den Fotobüchern widmet.

5 Tage lang werden 5.000 Besucher von rund 50 französischen und internationalen Verlegern und Buchhändlern empfangen.

Polycopies ist zu einem Treffpunkt für viele Liebhaber, Sammler, Autoren und Verleger geworden, die gerne ihre Ideen über die Praxis der Fotografie austauschen und vergleichen, die Herausforderungen des Verlagswesens verstehen, ihre Entdeckungen und Lieblingsbücher austauschen oder auch Modelle einreichen und neue Projekte initiieren möchten.

Créée en 2014, Polycopies est une association de diffusion et promotion de l’édition photographique indépendante.

Chaque année, Polycopies organise son festival à l’occasion de Paris-Photo, et transforme le bateau Concorde-Atlantique, amarré aux quais de Seine, en une grande librairie éphémère pleinement dédié aux livres de photographie.

Pendant cinq jours, cinq mille visiteurs sont accueillis par une cinquantaine d’éditeurs et libraires français et internationaux.

Polycopies est devenu un lieu de rendez-vous pour nombre d’amateurs, collectionneurs, auteurs et éditeurs qui aiment partager et confronter leurs idées sur les pratiques de la photographie, comprendre les enjeux de l’édition, échanger leurs découvertes et livres favoris, ou encore, soumettre des maquettes et voir s’initier de nouveaux projets.

Ogni anno, Polycopies organizza il suo festival in occasione di Paris-Photo, e trasforma la barca Concorde-Atlantique, ormeggiata sulle banchine della Senna, in una grande libreria effimera interamente dedicata ai libri di fotografia.

Per cinque giorni, cinquemila visitatori sono accolti da una cinquantina di editori e librai francesi e internazionali.

Polycopies è diventato un luogo d'incontro per molti amatori, collezionisti, autori ed editori che amano condividere e confrontare le loro idee sulle pratiche fotografiche, capire la posta in gioco dell'editoria, scambiare le loro scoperte e i loro libri preferiti, o presentare modelli e vedere nuovi progetti che vengono avviati.

Created in 2014, Polycopies is an non-profit for the distribution and promotion of independent photographic publishing (books, multiples, paper objects and experimental publishing practices).

Every year, Polycopies organizes its festival during the week of Paris-Photo, and transforms the boat Concorde-Atlantique, moored at the quays of the Seine, into a large ephemeral bookstore fully dedicated to photography books.

For five days, five thousand visitors are welcomed by fifty french and international publishers and booksellers.

Polycopies has become a meeting place for many amateurs, collectors, authors and publishers who like to share and confront their ideas on photography practices, understand the stakes of publishing, exchange their discoveries and favorite books, or submit dummies and see new projects being initiated.

Das Fotobuch, das heute für viele Fotografen das bevorzugte Medium ist, steht im Zentrum von Photobooks Switzerland, einer Veranstaltung initiiert durch die Fotografin Anastasia Mityukova. Während das Künstlerbuch bereits Thema unterschiedlicher Veranstaltungen war, ist dies der erste Event seiner Art, der sich speziell dem Fotobuch in der Schweiz widmet. Photobooks Switzerland hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die besten unabhängigen und zeitgenössischen Fotoverlage in die Schweiz zu bringen.

Es sollen Reflexionen und Diskussionen über den Status und die Bedeutung des Fotobuches angeregt sowie neue Inputs und Impressionen über die Möglichkeiten des Mediums in der Schweizer Kulturszene vermittelt werden.

De nos jours, le livre photographique est le support de prédilection de nombreux photographes. Ce média se trouve au cœur de Photobooks Switzerland, un événement initié par la photographe Anastasia Mityukova. Cet événement est le premier en Suisse à être consacré spécifiquement au livre photographique, parallèlement à de nombreux événements consacrés plus largement au livre d’artiste. Photobooks Switzerland a pour objectif d’apporter pour la première fois en Suisse le meilleur de l’édition photographique contemporaine indépendante et d’ouvrir une réflexion sur la place de ce média dans la scène culturelle suisse.

Le but du festival est de créer une ambiance conviviale et festive afin de favoriser les échanges et les rencontres entre tous les publics: professionnels, photographes, étudiants et écoles.

Il libro fotografico, che è il mezzo di scelta per molti fotografi oggi, è al centro di Photobooks Switzerland, un evento iniziato dalla fotografa Anastasia Mityukova. Mentre il libro d'artista è già stato oggetto di vari eventi, questo è il primo evento di questo tipo dedicato specificamente al libro fotografico in Svizzera. Photobooks Switzerland mira a portare i migliori editori fotografici indipendenti e contemporanei in Svizzera.

Riflessioni e discussioni sullo stato e sul significato del libro fotografico devono essere stimolate, così come nuovi input e impressioni sulle possibilità del mezzo nella scena culturale svizzera.

The photography book, which is nowadays the preferred medium of choice for many photographers, is at the heart of Photobooks Switzerland, an event initiated by the photographer Anastasia Mityukova. While the artist’s book has already been discussed more broadly, this is the first event of its kind devoted specifically to the photographic book in Switzerland. Photobooks Switzerland aims to bring the best of independent contemporary photographic publishing to Switzerland. It seeks to open up reflection and discussion about the status and importance of the photo book, as well as to convey new inputs and impressions about the possibility of the medium in the Swiss cultural scene.
