Die Phair - ein Neologismus, der ein Manifest, eine Synthese aus Fotografie und Messe ist - ist eine jährliche Veranstaltung, die der Fotografie gewidmet ist, dem Bild als konzeptionellem Ereignis, bevor es technisch und beschreibend für die Realität ist.
Die Phair richtet sich an einige der renommiertesten Galerien für zeitgenössische Kunst - und nicht unbedingt nur an solche, die bereits auf Fotografie spezialisiert sind -, die anlässlich der Messe künstlerische Projekte präsentieren, die mit dem Thema des Bildes verbunden sind, sowie Werke, die mit Foto- oder Videomaterial geschaffen wurden.
Die Phair ist eine Messe, die nur auf Einladung stattfindet. Eine sorgfältige kuratorische Auswahl garantiert die Auswahl eines organischen Vorschlags, der nicht in Themen und Abschnitte unterteilt ist, sondern ein einziges Ausstellungserlebnis darstellt; gleiche Ausstellungsflächen für alle garantieren eine "maßgeschneiderte" Einrichtung, die eher einer Ausstellungsreihe als einer Messe ähnelt und neue Möglichkeiten zur Nutzung, zum Verständnis und zur Aufwertung der vorgeschlagenen Werke bietet.
Le Phair - un néologisme qui est un manifeste, une synthèse de Photographie et de Foire - est un événement annuel dédié à la photographie, à l'image en tant qu'événement conceptuel avant d'être technique et descriptif de la réalité.
Le Phair s'adresse à certaines des galeries d'art contemporain les plus prestigieuses - et pas nécessairement seulement à celles qui sont déjà spécialisées dans la photographie - qui, à l'occasion de la foire, présentent des projets artistiques liés au thème de l'image et des œuvres réalisées avec du matériel photographique ou vidéo.
Le salon Phair est un salon sur invitation seulement. Un choix minutieux du commissaire garantit la sélection d'une proposition organique, non pas divisée en thèmes et sections mais comme une seule expérience d'exposition ; des espaces d'exposition égaux pour tous garantissent un montage "sur mesure" plus proche d'une série d'expositions que d'une foire, offrant de nouveaux moyens de fructification, de connaissance et de valorisation des œuvres proposées.

The Phair si rivolge ad alcune delle più prestigiose gallerie d’arte contemporanea – e non necessariamente solo a quelle già specializzate in fotografia – che, in occasione della fiera, presentano dei progetti artistici legati al tema dell’immagine e opere create con materiale fotografico o video.
The Phair è una fiera a inviti. Un’attenta scelta curatoriale garantisce la selezione di una proposta organica non suddivisa in temi e sezioni ma come un’unica esperienza espositiva; spazi espositivi uguali per tutti garantiscono un allestimento “sartoriale” più simile a una serie di mostre che a un impianto fieristico, fornendo nuove modalità di fruizione, conoscenza e valorizzazione delle opere proposte.

The Phair is addressed to some of the leading contemporary art galleries – and not necessarily only to those already specialized in photography – that, on the occasion of the fair, showcase an artistic project related to the theme of the image and art works created with photographic or video material.
The Phair is a fair by invitation. A careful curatorial choice guarantees the selection of an organic proposal not divided into themes and sections but as a whole exhibiting experience; equal spaces for all ensure a “tailor-made” setting, more similar to a series of exhibitions, innovating the traditional fair structure and suggesting new methods of understanding and analysis of the artworks proposed.
