Die Veranstaltung zelebriert das Spektrum der zeitgenössischen Fotografie in ihrer ganzen Vielfalt.
Als Teil der Rotterdam Art Week zieht die Veranstaltung jedes Jahr rund 10.000 Besucher an. Unter ihnen befinden sich Kunstliebhaber, Sammler, Galeristen sowie internationale Kunstfachleute aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt.
Jedes Jahr bietet die Messe einer breiten Palette unabhängiger Fotografen die Möglichkeit, ihre Projekte auszustellen. Die Fotografen können einzeln oder im Namen der Galerie teilnehmen, indem sie ihre Werke und Projekte im Rahmen einer offenen Ausschreibung zum aktuellen Thema einreichen. Ziel der Fotomesse ist es, Fotografen einen erschwinglichen Ausstellungsraum direkt anzubieten, der im Vergleich zu traditionellen Kunst-/Fotomessen niedrigere Kosten bietet.
Inspiriert von der Geschichte Rotterdams als Hafenstadt, stellt das Festival den ausgewählten Fotografen Ausstellungsräume in wiederverwendeten Schiffscontainern sowie den öffentlichen Raum der Stadt Rotterdam zur Verfügung, um die Fotografie aus der Tradition des "White Cube" herauszuführen.
Zusätzlich zu den Ausstellungen organisiert Rotterdam Photo Vorträge, Workshops und ein Rahmenprogramm mit Musik und digitalen Installationen in der ganzen Stadt. Das Festivalgefühl wird durch die verschiedenen Ausstellungen und Freizeitaktivitäten erzeugt. Straßenverkäufer, Cafés und Restaurants auf dem Festivalgelände bieten gutes Essen und leckere Getränke an - Publikum und Teilnehmer können die Atmosphäre der Veranstaltungen genießen und gemeinsam mit uns die Fotografie feiern.

S'inscrivant dans le cadre de la Semaine de l'art de Rotterdam, l'événement attire chaque année quelque 10 000 visiteurs. Parmi eux se trouvent des amateurs d'art, des collectionneurs, des galeristes, ainsi que des professionnels de l'art international venant de différentes parties du monde.
Chaque année, la foire offre à un large éventail de photographes indépendants la possibilité d'exposer leurs projets. Les photographes peuvent participer à titre individuel ou au nom de la galerie en soumettant leurs œuvres et leurs projets dans le cadre d'un appel ouvert lié au thème actuel. L'objectif de la foire photographique est d'offrir un espace d'exposition abordable directement aux photographes, en proposant des coûts inférieurs à ceux des foires d'art/photo traditionnelles.
Inspiré par l'histoire de Rotterdam en tant que ville portuaire, le festival offre aux photographes sélectionnés un espace d'exposition dans des conteneurs d'expédition réaffectés, ainsi que l'espace public de la ville de Rotterdam pour sortir la photographie de la tradition du "cube blanc".
En plus des expositions, Rotterdam Photo organise des conférences, des ateliers et un programme parallèle avec de la musique et des installations numériques dans toute la ville. L'ambiance du festival est créée par les diverses expositions et activités de loisirs. Les vendeurs ambulants, les cafés et les restaurants situés sur le site du festival proposent de la bonne nourriture et de délicieuses boissons. Le public et les participants peuvent profiter de l'atmosphère de l'événement, en célébrant la photographie avec nous.

Facendo parte della Settimana dell'Arte di Rotterdam, l'evento attira ogni anno circa 10.000 visitatori. Tra loro ci sono amanti dell'arte, collezionisti, galleristi e professionisti internazionali dell'arte provenienti da diverse parti del mondo.
Ogni anno la fiera offre a un'ampia gamma di fotografi indipendenti l'opportunità di esporre i propri progetti. I fotografi possono partecipare individualmente o per conto della galleria presentando le loro opere e i loro progetti attraverso un bando aperto relativo al tema in corso. L'obiettivo della fiera fotografica è quello di offrire uno spazio espositivo a prezzi accessibili direttamente ai fotografi, proponendo costi inferiori rispetto alle fiere d'arte/fotografiche tradizionali.
Ispirato alla storia di Rotterdam come città portuale, il festival offre ai fotografi selezionati uno spazio espositivo in container navali riutilizzati, nonché lo spazio pubblico della città di Rotterdam per portare la fotografia al di fuori della tradizione del "white cube".
Oltre alle mostre, Rotterdam Photo organizza conferenze, workshop e un programma collaterale con musica e installazioni digitali in tutta la città. La sensazione di festival viene creata grazie alle varie mostre e alle attività di svago. I venditori ambulanti, i caffè e i ristoranti presenti sul luogo del festival offrono ottimi piatti e bevande deliziose: il pubblico e i partecipanti possono godersi l'atmosfera degli eventi, celebrando la fotografia insieme a noi.
The event celebrates the spectrum of contemporary photography in all its diversity.
Being part of Rotterdam Art Week, the event yearly attracts around 10.000 visitors. Among them are art lovers, collectors, gallerists, as well as international art professionals from different parts of the globe.
Every year the fair offers a wide gamut of independent photographers the opportunity to exhibit their projects. Photographers can participate individually or on behalf of the gallery by submitting their works and projects via an open call related to the current theme. The goal of the photo fair is to offer an affordable exhibition space directly to photographers, proposing lower costs compared to traditional art/photo fairs.
Inspired by the history of Rotterdam as a port city, the festival provides the selected photographers with exhibition space in repurposed shipping containers, as well as the public space of Rotterdam city to bring photography outside the ‘white cube’ tradition.
In addition to the exhibitions, Rotterdam Photo organizes talks, workshops, and a fringe program with music and digital installations throughout the city. The festival feeling is created thanks to various exhibitions and leisure activities. Street vendors, cafes, and restaurants on the festival’s location offer great food and delicious drinks – the public and participants can enjoy the events’ atmosphere, celebrating photography together with us.
