Sono stati più di 25.000 i visitatori dell’ottava edizione di MIA Photo Fair, 90 gallerie di cui 37 provenienti dall’estero con più di 300 artisti esposti, 20 editori specializzati e 12 artisti indipendenti all’interno di una superficie espositiva di 5.000 mq. Durante i giorni della manifestazione sono stati assegnati: il Premio BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas, un premio acquisti che arricchisce la collezione d’arte della banca, il Premio Eberhard & Co. | Archivi Aperti che consiste in un contributo in denaro da parte di Eberhard & Co., per supportare i costi relativi agli interventi necessari all’inventariazione, catalogazione, digitalizzazione in alta risoluzione, conservazione tutela dell’archivio vincitore e il Premio RaM Sarteano dedicato alla realizzazione di una mostra fotografica con relativo catalogo, presso la Rocca Manenti (sita in Sarteano, Siena) rivolto agli artisti italiani e stranieri Proposta MIA.
Questi i numeri di MIA Photo Fair 2018, la fiera dedicata alla fotografia d’arte diretta da Fabio Castelli e Lorenza Castelli presso The Mall – Porta Nuova Milano.
MIA Photo Fair, nata nel 2011 da un’idea di Fabio Castelli, è la prima e più importante fiera d’arte dedicata alla fotografia e all’immagine in movimento in Italia. MIA Photo Fair offre ai propri visitatori un percorso esaustivo sulla fotografia d’arte presentando da una parte Solo Show e dall’altra stand collettivi con un progetto curatoriale specifico.
MIA Photo Fair nasce con l’obiettivo di evidenziare il ruolo trasversale che la fotografia e l’immagine in movimento hanno assunto tra i linguaggi espressivi dell’arte e del sistema dell’arte contemporanea.
NATURA FORMATIVA DELL’EVENTO PER UN COLLEZIONISMO CONSAPEVOLE
MIA Photo Fair prevede un ricco programma culturale, con eventi e conferenze dedicate al mondo dell’arte e della fotografia, che mira a supportare un collezionismo consapevole con approfondimenti e ospiti di rilievo nel panorama artistico italiano ed internazionale.
MIA Photo Fair offre ai collezionisti d’arte la possibilità di visitare una vivace e innovativa fiera dove poter ammirare sia le opere di artisti storici che di artisti emergenti, selezionati con cura dal Comitato di Selezione.
More than 25.000 visitors attended to the eighth edition of MIA Photo Fair, 90 galleries
of which 37 from abroad with more than 300 exhibited artists, 20 specialized publishers and 12 independent artists within an exhibition area of 5.000 sq. mt.
During the days of the fair 3 prizes have been awarded: BNL BNP Paribas Group Award an acquisition award which enriches the Banks’s art collection, Eberhard & Co. | Archivi Aperti Award which consists of a contribution from Eberhard & Co., to support the costs related to the interventions necessary for the inventory, cataloging, high resolution digitization, conservation of the winning archive and RaM Sarteano Award dedicated to the realization of a photographic exhibition at Rocca Manenti (located in Sarteano, Siena) addressed to Italian and foreign artists.

MIA Photo Fair, conceived in 2011 from an idea of Fabio Castelli, is the most important art fair dedicated to photography and moving image in Italy.
