Paolo Pellegrin (geboren 1964 in Rom), zehnfacher Preisträger des World Press Photo Awards und zahlreicher weiterer Auszeichnungen, kombiniert in seinen Bildern seine Erfahrungen als Dokumentarfotograf in Krisengebieten und an Kriegschauplätzen mit der visuelle Intensität eines Künstlers. Die Ausstellung UN'ANTOLOGIA blickt zurück auf Pellegrins zwanzigjährige Karriere und wurde mehr als zwei Jahre intensiv in den Archiven des italienischen Magnum-Fotografen vorbereitet. Zu sehen sind mehr als 150 Bilder, viele davon unveröffentlicht, sowie Videoaufnahmen von 1998 bis 2017.
Städtische Armut, Krankheiten, Natur- oder Umweltkatastrophen und Konflikte in jedem Winkel der Welt – Pellegrin hat alles gesehen auf der Welt. Seine Bilder von der sich verändernden Schönheit der Antarktis zeigen Pellegrins visionären Ansatz in der Fotografie. »Ich bin nicht daran interessiert ein Foto zu stehlen. Ich interessiere mich stattdessen, so weit ich kann, für das Leben der Leuten, die ich fotografiere Ich verfolge einen anthropologischen Ansatz: Ich möchte Motive und Themen finden, um meine Geschichten zu erzählen.«
Die Schau gliedert sich in zwei große Teile: dem ersten über den Menschen und dem zweiten über die Natur. Anhand von Notizen, Notizbücher und Zeichnungen, die seine fotografischen Arbeiten zugrunde liegen, können Besucher*innen einen Blick hinter die Kulissen von Pellegrins kreativen Prozess werfen.
Die Ausstellung UN'ANTOLOGIA ist nicht nur eine Hommage an Pellegrins Werk, sondern zeigt, dass Reportagefotografie weit mehr sein kann, als nur ein Medium für Nachrichten und Informationen.
Paolo Pellegrin (né en 1964 à Rome), dix fois lauréat du World Press Photo Award et de nombreux autres prix, combine dans ses images son expérience de photographe documentaire dans les zones de crise et les théâtres de guerre avec l'intensité visuelle d'un artiste. L'exposition UN'ANTOLOGIA retrace les vingt ans de carrière de Pellegrin et a été intensivement préparée pendant plus de deux ans dans les archives du photographe italien Magnum. Plus de 150 images, dont plusieurs inédites, ainsi que des séquences vidéo de 1998 à 2017 sont exposées.
Pauvreté urbaine, maladies, catastrophes naturelles ou environnementales et conflits aux quatre coins du monde - Pellegrin a tout vu dans le monde. Ses images de la beauté changeante de l'Antarctique montrent l'approche visionnaire de Pellegrin envers la photographie. "Je ne suis pas intéressé à voler une photo. Je m'intéresse, autant que possible, à la vie des gens que je photographie et je suis une approche anthropologique : je veux trouver des motifs et des thèmes pour raconter mes histoires."
Le spectacle est divisé en deux grandes parties : la première sur les gens et la seconde sur la nature. A l'aide de notes, de carnets et de dessins sur lesquels s'appuient ses œuvres photographiques, le visiteur* peut jeter un coup d'œil dans les coulisses du processus créatif de Pellegrin.
L'exposition UN'ANTOLOGIA n'est pas seulement un hommage au travail de Pellegrin, elle montre aussi que la photographie de reportage peut être bien plus qu'un simple support d'information et de nouvelles.

La mostra UN'ANTOLOGIA ripercorre la ventennale carriera di Pellegrin ed è stata preparata intensamente per più di due anni negli archivi del fotografo italiano Magnum. Sono esposte più di 150 immagini, molte delle quali inedite, oltre a riprese video dal 1998 al 2017.
Povertà urbana, malattie, disastri naturali o ambientali e conflitti in ogni angolo del mondo - Pellegrin ha visto tutto nel mondo. Le sue immagini della mutevole bellezza dell'Antartide mostrano l'approccio visionario di Pellegrin alla fotografia. "Non mi interessa rubare una foto. Mi interessa, invece, per quanto posso, la vita delle persone che fotografo. Seguo un approccio antropologico: voglio trovare motivi e temi per raccontare le mie storie".
Lo spettacolo è diviso in due grandi parti: la prima sulle persone e la seconda sulla natura. Attraverso gli appunti, i quaderni e i disegni su cui si basano le sue opere fotografiche, i visitatori* possono dare uno sguardo dietro le quinte del processo creativo di Pellegrin.
La mostra UN'ANTOLOGIA non è solo un omaggio al lavoro di Pellegrin, ma dimostra anche che la fotografia di reportage può essere molto più di un semplice mezzo di informazione e informazione.

The exhibition UN'ANTOLOGIA is not only a tribute to Pellegrin's work, but also shows that reportage photography can be much more than just a medium for news and information.
